Exploration of conscious spontaneity: Embroidery Samples

The embroidery samples of this project focus on the development of hand craftsmanship and attempting to explore unknown territories of technique which are challenging and innovative for the artist herself. One of the main challenges for this project related to scale, in terms of the fabric dimensions and the size of the stitch itself.

With the combination of embellishments and a variety of hand stitch techniques, a series of embroidery samples were produced that explore the effect and aesthetics of miniscule stitches at a larger quantity as well as experimenting with the placement of the embroidery itself, resulting in a range of playful and quirky embroidery designs.
