Beautiful Chaos: Final Collection
The main objective of the final collection was to offer a vague visualisation and styling of the final pieces in order to show the intention of the designs, therefore, it was vital to portray the completed embroidery on or with the body as the end outcome is fashion based.
The inspiration of this photoshoot is largely influenced by horror elements present in the AW21/22 Phantasmagoria trend. Therefore, many poses are doll-like and facial expressions are cold and almost intimidating in order to match the dark, eerie aesthetics of the final collection. To maintain an element of surprise or mystery, the face of model is slightly cut off so that the attention is kept on the embroidery itself. Flash exposure was increased in order to produce a more contrasting shadow, especially on the face, to create a darker, more mysterious and compelling photograph.
Styling of the model was kept to a minimum as the embroidery itself is intriguing and detailed enough, as the collection is targeted towards a high-end market, accessories were kept to a minimum but were made sure to complement the final pieces. The second final piece in particular was styled with various tops in order to show how versatile the end outcome could be, as the piece could be dressed up with an off-the-shoulder top or a smarter alternative with a white shirt offers a more modest and sophisticated option.
